Every year there is an arrangement of Boishakhi Mela for celebrating the Bengali Happy New Year. From rural to Urban, each and every corner of the Bengal including Kolkatta this mela gives a new life to the Bengali Communities. They get inspire for the whole year. The meaning of that mela is an enjoyment and also refreshment to the communities. In that mela there is an arrangement of different type of toys, metal made toys, hari, patil, some sweets for eat, soft drinks etc. This mela is depending on the area and also the size of the participation. In the Urban area same thing is available in the mela including some cultural programs say dance, games like ha-du-du, football, crickets, Nagordula for children  etc, sings and also some dramas for enjoyment to the communities. This day is absolutely allocated for Bangla songs of differnt type of singers including some famous and also popular singers like TV Artists, Radio Artists etc. The Bengali communities also entertain each other different types of sweets as they like it very much. The main objective of the arrangement of such kind of mela is for giving inspiration and also refreshment to all. Some places of the country the duration the mela continues till the end of the month.
