Coming 21st February 2012 is the International Mother Language Day. The importance of this day is to memories those who sacrifices themselves for their respective Language by which the Bengali communities speak. In 1952 the Bengali communities sacrifices themselves for the sake of their mother tong. With the great scarifies of Salam, Borkot, Rofiq, Jobber etc People got their pride language Bangla. From then still the Bengali Communities remember the day with great honor and also respects. There is a govt. holiday for celebrating the day. Near Dhaka Medical colleges and hospital the Shahid Minar is established since 1952 in the modified structure. All Bengali communities and also other foreign delegates come or visit the sculpture or shahid minar without shoes on feet. Early in the morning mass people participation is very much remarkable to all. At first Govt. representative say PM, President and then opposition Leaders come to respect them. After then different communities like cultural, political communities come to respect them with flowers. The whole day is covered by arranging different types of cultural programs. From rural to urban all sorts of people’s participation is very much remarkable. With due respects the Bengali Communities wears black and white cloths as the symbolic of the history. Now this day has also got the international declaration as the International Mother Language Day and this is the pride for the Bengali communities as well as for the world. Ekushe Book Fair is also the part of that. On the first day of February every year the Bengali communities enjoy the book fair with due respect to 21 February. This book fair continues till 21 February every year. During this book fair it is remarkable that the books which comes in the book stall is all over Bangla. Other than Bangla no other books are available for marketing. The Writers always try to publish the latest one for the celebration of book fair. Different categories of books from adult to baby are available in the book fair for its marketing. Especially students enjoy the book fair very much.
